Rather than eating three large meals a day, eat smaller meals, more frequently, which is also more effective for weight loss.
Periods can sometimes be painful for women. It may act as a major cause for sickness, headache, and stomach ache.
Irregular periods are usually harmless but sometimes they can lead to health complications.
Though 28 day cycle is considered regular, some women may have their periods after 25 days or 35 days in a month.
A regular period usually lasts for 5 days, but it is completely normal if you menstruate between 3 to 7 days.
You are said to have irregular periods if you have abnormal bleeding, bleeding between periods or early periods.
Reasons behind imbalance of female hormone production are pregnancy, stress, diet, exercise, menarche, menopause or contraceptive pills.
If irregular periods persist for a long time, then it may be due to some underlying complications.
If you experience extreme cramps, dizziness, nausea, or heavy period bleeding due to irregular periods, check with your doctor immediately.
Some of the complications that may arise as a result of irregular periods are polycystic ovary syndrome (POS) & inflammatory bowel disease.
