Recipe for Papite-ka-halwa

Ingredients Amount
Semolina (suji)3.5 tbsp
Ripe papaya 3.5 tbsp
Sugar5 tsp
Oil3 tsp
WaterFor cooking
Method:
  • Boil ripe papaya, mash and set aside.
  • Soak suji in water for about 2 hrs.
  • Discard top fluid. Add thick suji reissue along with sugar to the boiled papaya.
  • Cook the mixture and keep stirring all the time.
  • Add oil little at time while cooking.
  • When the halwa starts leaving the sides of the pan, pour it on a greased plate and cut into small pieces.
