Recipe for Daliya Patties

Daliya Patties are a low calorie, low fat snack item for diabetics and weight loss individuals. This recipe makes 1 serving of 3 patties.


Ingredients for rice Amount
Daliya - (broken wheat)1 tbsp
Sweet Corn1 tbsp (15 gms)
Green peas (cooked)2 tsp
Carrot (diced into pieces)1 nos
Green chilies1-2 nos
Green chilli paste2 tsp
Oil1 tsp
Saltto taste
Method:
  • Steam the sweet corn and mash it into a coarse paste.
  • Soak Daliya in water for about 2 hrs.
  • Roll into a paratha .
  • Mix daliya, mashed sweet corn, green peas, carrot and ginger chili paste. Add salt to taste.
  • Make three patties from the above mixture.
  • Bake in an oven for a fat free recipe or smear very little oil on the tava and shallow fry.
  • Serve hot with green chutney.
