Homemade face packs for dry skin

Does your face look dull, dry, and wrinkled? Does your skin flake, chap, and feel tight? A ‘yes’ to the above answers, indicates that your skin is ‘dry.’ Low levels of sebum and inability to retain moisture contributes to the parched look of your skin. You need to cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin daily to improve its texture. In addition, using face packs once a week can refresh and rehydrate your skin. Some of the best easy-to-make face packs for dry skin are provided below.

Banana Mask: Loaded with potassium and antioxidants, a banana mask makes the skin soft and supple. Method: Mash half a ripe banana and add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Mix well and make a smooth paste. Apply to the face and wash with water after 10 minutes

Honey Pack: Honey helps to cleanse and rehydrate the skin. It even reduces blemishes and sunburn marks. Method: Mix one tablespoon of honey with two tablespoons of rose water and few drops of lemon juice. Evenly apply this mixture on the face and neck and let it remain for 5 to 10 minutes. Wash your face and pat dry.

Oat Almond Mask: Almonds, being rich in vitamin E, nourish the skin. They make the skin soft and smooth. Oats, on the other hand, retain moisture, reduce itchiness, and prevent the skin from flaking. Method: Soak almonds overnight. In the morning, remove the skin and grind it into a fine paste. Combine one tablespoon of almond paste with one tablespoon of powdered oats and 1 teaspoon of full cream milk to form a smooth mixture. Gently apply this mixture on the face and neck using circular motions. Rinse after 15 minutes to get soft, supple, and glowing skin.

Papaya Mask: Using a papaya mask is a great way to rejuvenate your dry skin. The enzyme papain, present in papaya acts as an exfoliant and removes skin debris. It lifts away the dry skin, giving a fresh vibrant look to your skin. Method: Scrub a tablespoon of papaya pulp on your face and let it dry. Wash off and pat dry.
