(Speciality: Doctor)
Causes of loose motion during pregnancy could be due to anything like antenatal vitamin supplements, growing uterus compressing on the rectum, weak digestive system, consumption of rich foods, overeating, allergies, and bowel infections (bacterial or viral infections). The after effect of this disease is frequent passing of stool, stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and sometimes fever. Most important concern here is dehydration, which should be avoided as it can prove hazardous to the mother as well the baby in the womb. So proper replenishment with plenty of fluids is a must and secondly report or consult your obstetrician immediately if the loose motions are profuse or associated with cramps or bleeding.
