Moong dal toast

Moong dal toast is a healthy breakfast recipe. It provides high protein, moderate carbs , low fat and adequate calories to start off the day.

Ingredients List

Ingredients Amount
Brown Bread, big 2 no.
Green gram, split ( Moong dal ) 1 cup
Green chilies 1 no.
Gram flour (Besan) 1 Tbsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves few twigs
Oil 2 tsp

Preparation Method

  • Soak moong dal for 2 hr. Drain and grind with green chilies to a fine paste.
  • Mix together dal paste, besan, salt, lemon juice and coriander leaves.
  • With the help of a spoon, spread dal mixture on one side of a bread slice.
  • Smear little oil on a non-stick pan. Now toast the bread with the dal side down.
  • While the bread is getting toasted on the lower side, spread the dal mixture on the upper side of the bread too. Toast the bread on other side also.
  • Cut into triangles and serve hot with tomato sauce.
