Kaddu ki sabzi

Pumpkin, also known as kaddu in Hindi, is an excellent source of vitamin A, which is essential for the maintenance of healthy vision and prevention of skin diseases.

Ingredients List

Ingredients Amount
Pumpkin (Red Kaddu) 2 cup
Dry red chilies 1-2 no.
Fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Dry mango powder (Amchur) 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Oil 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Preparation Method
  • Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, and dry red chilies. Fry till the spluttering stops.
  • Add chopped pumpkin, dry masalas, and salt.
  • Cover and cook till the pumpkin softens. Sprinkle little water only if needed.
  • Serve hot with chapatis.
