Peptic Ulcer Risk Assessment

A peptic ulcer, irrespective of its location in the duodenum or stomach, can be extremely painful and distressing. There are many causative factors that can predispose the development of a peptic ulcer. Take this simple assessment to find out whether you are at risk of developing the same.

Peptic ulcers are best prevented rather than cured. Avoiding alcohol and tobacco in any form; not consuming any drugs that could weaken the mucosal defenses of your gastrointestinal tract; eating fruits, vegetables, and sprouts liberally; restricting your intake of red meat and spicy or pungent food items; and drinking at least 8 – 10 glasses of water daily; are certain precautionary measures that you can take to prevent the formation of peptic ulcers.
