No Gender Bias With Heart

Diseases of heart not just affect men but women also. Heart attack is one of the major causes of deaths in women, after breast cancer. It has been estimated that almost one in three women will ultimately die of stroke or cardiac disease. A woman is at risk of acquiring a heart ailment if she is

  • Is overweight or obese
  • Smokes
  • Is diagnosed as diabetic
  • Is diagnosed of high cholesterol blood levels
  • Suffers from high blood pressure
  • Has a family history of coronary heart disease
  • Is menopausal
  • Alternately takes birth control pills
  • Is exposed to stress
  • Is physically inactive

A woman is known for her ability to show care and concern for others, for which, she also needs to mother her own heart.
