To have a balanced diet consuming all ingredients is important. Only rice or non vegetarian foods will not fulfill the requirement. So try having more of fruits, vegetables and diary products as per your choice, in your diet. Avoid red meat and organ meat as the fat content is more. Poultry and fish are preferable. Avoid deep fried foods. Go for food items that are grilled, boiled, stewed or steamed. This will save you from excessive calories. Use oils like sunflower, safflower and olive oil in preparing food. Drink 7 to 8 glasses of water everyday.
