Vegetable paneer tikkis

Vegetable paneer tikkis is a calcium and B-complex vitamin rich recipe . It is an ideal snack for school going children.

Ingredients List

Ingredients Amount
Potato 2 no.
Cottage cheese (Paneer) 1/4 cup
Peas 1/4 cup
French beans 5-6 no.
Carrot 1/2 no.
Cornflour 1 tsp
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Coriander leaves few twigs
Green chili paste 1 tsp
Lemon 1/2 no.
Oil 2 tsp
Wheat flakes for coating
Salt to taste

Preparation Method

For tikkis

  • Steam potatoes and mash them completely.
  • Add half the ginger chili paste and salt.
  • Make into balls and keep aside.

For stuffing

  • Dice all vegetables finely. Steam them for 5-10 min.
  • Grate paneer.
  • Mix all the ingredients.
  • Add lemon juice,chopped coriander, salt and ginger chili paste. Mix well. Stuffing is ready.
  • Now take the potato balls and flatten them. Place a small portion of stuffing in between and close the ball to for tikkis.
  • Coat them with wheat flakes and then shallow fry till brown on both sides.
