Narangi Uppappam with green chutney

Narangi Uppappam with green chutney is rich in Vitamins - which are a potent antioxidants and play an important role in immunity and iron absorption. This recipe makes one serving of 2 uttapam.

Ingredients List

Ingredients Amount
Rice 2 Tbsp
Udad Daal 1 Tbsp
Carrot half
Pumpkin 2 Tsp
Corriander leaves a handfull
Oil 1 Tsp
Salt To taste

Preparation Method

  • Soak Udad dal for 3 hrs and rice for 8 hrs separately.
  • Together grind the rice and Udad daal and make a fine paste.
  • Leave the mixture overnight for fermentation.
  • Add salt to paste.
  • Grate the carrot and pumpkin. Chop the coriander - fine.
  • Heat a non-stick pan and smear it with little oil.
  • Pour half the batter and spread into a circle.
  • Add the grated carrots, pumpkin and coriander on top. Flip over once and cook until done.
  • Similarly make another uttapam.
  • Serve hot with Green Chutney.
