Stress Management an art

Stress Management an art

These days stress affects all: young, old, rich or poor. The reason is that the lifestyle now demands too much from an individual; no matter how much an individual tries. Somewhere or other one fails short to meet everything. The result is that no one is fully satisfied with one’s life.
Research has shown that stress should not be dismissed as completely disastrous. It can be positive as well as negative depending on the nature of stress. If a person is moderately stressed, it increases the productivity level of an individual; on the other hand, if a person is overstressed, it can lead a person into fits of depression, and sometimes even to death.
What is, therefore, required at such crucial moment is stress management. The need of the hour is that we should never lose our hopes as success and failure are part of life. Nobody can always be a winner and vice-versa. Therefore, apart from everything else what has become most important for us today is self-confidence.
Although nobody is free from the grouches of stress, and unfortunately, people who are the most affected are the youth. The most common reason for this is the lack of career option. There are several other reasons for high stress levels among today’s youth.

The lack of patience while dealing with elderly people and their desire to earn quick money by hook or by crook. They blindly follow the ‘icons’ forgetting that they have an identity and an individuality of their own which is unique and incomparable. Humans today have altogether stopped thinking and meditating and hence most of them are least aware of their inner self and their goals in life. Since most of them don’t know what they want and hence they move away from the real world and make an easy, cozy, and dreamy fairy land for themselves.
Although in the beginning they feel very happy and safe in this dreamland but with the passage of time when reality tries to make its way out of the cracks in the dream world, one starts feeling hopeless. This results into frustration and agitation, eventually boosts up stress level.
Hence, what the time genuinely demands is that people in order to cope up with today’s fast lifestyle should practise mediation, which will not only boost their faith in ‘the ultimate’ but more importantly within themselves.
