Preparation Method

Pressure cook the dal with salt and turmeric. Keep aside.

In a frying pan, heat ghee. Add all the whole garam masala and asafoetida.

Stir for a while. Add grated coconut, raisins, chopped green chillies, ginger and sugar.Saute for 2 min.

Now add boiled dal. Add in Hot water (as required ) and give a boil.

Serve hot with rice.
