Body beautiful

Physical beauty is a lot of things added up — lustrous hair, smooth and radiant complexion, a skin that’s free of dryness, acne, warts. But this beauty cannot be independent of your overall health. It is important to have a well-nourished body, if you want to look truly beautiful. And a well-nourished body requires:
Vitamin A: Deficiency of Vitamin A leads to dry hair and dry and wrinkled skin, acne, acidic skin, dandruff and poor vision. Vitamin A is found in melon, papaya, tomato, carrot, green leafy vegetables, cod liver oil and egg.
Vitamin B: The B group of vitamins is related to many nerve functions and in today’s fast-paced life you often find people complaining of stress related nervous disorders, digestive problems, constipation (nerve disorders lead to constipation too) collagen problems and loose skin, metabolic disruption, indigestion and a weak liver. You can get all B group vitamins from whole grains like whole cereals and whole pulses (with the skin), nuts and brewers yeast.
Vitamin C: This vitamin keeps the collagen intact which in turn prevents your skin from sagging. It also improves immunity. Deficiency of Vitamin C results in scurvy. Vitamin C is found in Indian gooseberry (amla, which is 50 times more potent than oranges), oranges, lemon and tomatoes.

Vitamin D: It is necessary to strengthen the bones and for calcium and phosphorus metabolism. It also makes your nails, hair and skin look good. You can get Vitamin D when your body manufactures it from sun rays that touch your skin. Other sources are non-vegetarian foods, sprouts and butter.
Vitamin E: Vitamin E is very important for keeping the radiant and youthful. Many people with joint and muscle aches also benefit from eating the natural sources of vita min E. Good sources are nuts and oil seeds, olives and egg yolk.
There are several herbs and minerals that are important for a healthy skin.
HERBS: What kind of herbs you should consume depends on your body constitution. For example, a dry constitution like vata benefits from papaya (application and consumption), aloe vera (application and drinking), bael sherbet (consumption). A pitta constitution benefits from triphala powder, karela juice, tulsi, lauki and cabbage juice. People with a kapha constitution benefit from karela juice, ginger and garlic.
