Stress attacks one and all. In a fast paced life that we live today, to fall under stress is nothing unusual. It has many ill effects on your health. You may fall ill or may become an addict. You may start smoking or increase the number of smokes in a day and thus increase your chances of heart diseases, cancers and several other lung diseases. You may start taking alcohol or increase your alcohol intake hence suffering from the hangover effects and also putting your liver in danger. You may start eating a lot to deal with stress ultimately putting on oodles of weight followed by weight related health complaints. You may take drugs to have a good night sleep which will in a longer run make you sleepless for nights at a stretch.
Addiction in any form affects your over health and your personality. The temporary relief you get from relying on a craving can cause lot of damage to you in a longer run. You can then decide to opt for other activities so as not to fall prey to this menace.

- Indulge in activities those interests you which could be sports or hobbies or social work
- Plan your day so that you are not stressed at the end of the day
- If you are an addict then recognize the agent of addiction
- Remove the factor of addiction from your surrounding (house, car or office)
- If required, don't hesitate on taking help from a doctor or a counsellor
- Think positive and make a commitment to yourself to make your life healthy and to combat than to become a slave of the stress factor
