The normal blood glucose readings are: fasting: <110 mg/dl and post prandial: <140mg/dl. Diagnostic criteria for DM: fasting blood sugar >110 mg/dl and 2 hours post lunch sugar >200 mg/dl, diagnostic criterion for diabetes is random blood sugar (RBS) of 200mg/dl.
