Some suggestions are to reduce the intake of meat, organ meat, poultry, egg yolk, whole milk and milk products. Avoid products that have fat in them like butter, cheese, nuts, cream, mayonnaise and cocoa. Use oils like sunflower, safflower and olive oil in preparing food that too in little quantities. Eat more of green leafy vegetables and pulses. Have more proteins in diet like Soya products. Have fruits in snacks instead of going for anything fried. Reduce the salt intake. Avoid having canned foods and drinks, ready-to-eat foods, processed and junk foods. Drink adequate amount of water at least 7 to 10 glasses per day. Use skimmed milk in tea or other milk preparations. Reduce caffeine intake. Instead deep frying, go for foods are prepared by steaming, boiling, poaching, stewing or roasting food as this will reduce oil consumption. Eat on regular intervals. Do not skip meals.
